--Sharing our Lord and Saviour Yahushua, Yeshua the Messiah to the World!--

Please Note: On this site we prefer to use the actual Name of our loving Heavenly Father as it was written in the Hebrew and thus you will note that we will use the four letter “Memorial Name” of - YHVH, which is pronounced as YaHVaH or YaHWaH, also we will use our Heavenly Father’s tile - “Elohim” rather than “God” and we need to remember that “Elohim” (God) is NOT a name but an attribute, a title! In addition we also love to use the actual Name of our beloved “Messiah” (written in Hebrew as “Mashiach” and in Greek as “Christos”), which is - Yahushua (Yeshua in short) for this is the Messiah’s original Hebrew Name as given to Him in Luke 1:31. This was the only Name ever used when He was on the earth by His disciples and His followers for hundreds of years thereafter. However it was changed to a foreign name by the new church, which later became known as “the greater Roman catholic church.” Occasionally, we may also use other Hebrew or Greek names and words in our studies, but these will be translated when they are used, either the first time in a study or at various times as needed for clarity. For an explanation of YHVH’s most Holy and blessed “Memorial Name” and the wonderful Name of our Messiah: Please read … “The Memorial Name.”

The three levels of learning & Scriptural understanding:

When we read and study the blessed Scriptures, the Word of YHVH Elohim (The LORD God) as a Messianic believer in Messiah, we should keep following three steps in mind for they can a valuable guide to us and it will illuminate the beauty and the fullness of YHVH’s blessed Word.

1. Who was YHVH Elohim, blessed be His Holy Name speaking to?

2. When was it said?

3. How was His Word understood at the time it was spoken/given?

I do believe that these three points are most relevant to our understanding of what the Almighty is saying to us today, and yes indeed to you right now!

“Wherefore Elohim (God) also hath highly exalted Him and given Him a Name which is above every name. That at the Name of (the Messiah) every knee should bow, of things in heaven and things in earth and things under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Yahushua the Messiah is Lord, to the glory of Elohim the Father” Philippians 2:9-11.

It is without doubt that many around the world genuinely love the name of “Jesus.” As we travel the world, I hear the name of the Messiah pronounced in many different ways - “Iesous, Jesu, Jesus, Jisu, Isua, Isa” and in Israel and some Asian lands, Yeshua, Yahshua however the actual Hebrew name that was given to Him in the Word is - “Yahushua.”

Is it not strange that our blessed Messiah has so many variations when it comes to a name? Yet, as I travel the world, I am simply called “Reuben” in all English speaking countries as well as “Reuben” in Germany, Holland, Russia, Poland, Spain, France, Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, China, the Americas, as it is in the Middle East! And no one has ever called me Robert, Robby, Rudy or Roy.

We may ash a simple question; Why? Well the answer is that Reuben is my name and I have not chosen to Anglicize it to anything else, whereas some Eastern European migrants and a few others may have made a personal choice to change a very difficult, ;let’s say an Eastern European sounding or an awkward name to pronounce to something more English, well OK. But, if every nation in the world is able to call me by my correct name, WHY then is it not possible to call our Lord and Saviour by His correct name? Has He not “the Name above every name?” Of course it is possible and we should call the Messiah by the name, which His heavenly Father gave Him.

Many have asked me how did Messiah’s Name get changed from the original Yahushua to Jesus? This article will answer that very question, and although it will obviously be rather controversial for many, and I am well aware that there will be those who will bring forward a number of arguments in regard to it, but believe I have heard them all, and not one to date had any validity, for you can and must translate a WORD in order we may understand what it means, but a name is a name and it does not require translation, Did our Saviour not ask us deliberately – “Ask it in MY MAME and it shall be done.” Well beloved, have you?

Now let us look at just a few of the arguments presented to me in the past.

Let me take care of the main argument first, the one being – “But the Lord has blessed me when I have used the name of Jesus,” etc! There could be two possibilities here, one very positive and rather negative and this would depend where you are at, and how strong your faith is. 1. Yes, YHVH our Elohim, (the LORD our God) will have blessed you, for he does not punish those who are blameless and does not know any better. For let’s be honest, you will have been reading His Word and you have come to know His Son, and believe in the Messiah as Lord and your Saviour, thus He will bless you! Even though Messiah asks in the Word ask it in MY NAME, he would very much prefer we do ask it in his actual name and not in a name that has been totally invented, for Jesus is not a translation from the Hebrew. However, YHVH does allow many in the Body to be blessed, for they are seeking His Word in Spirit and in Truth and they will discover not only the Memorial Name of YHVH (YaHVaH), but also that of His only begotten Son, Yahushua the Messiah! Thus, if you have been using the name of Jesus in the past, fine, but it could be time that now is the time to understand where it originates from and that is why He has led you to read this study NOW, for our heavenly Father wishes you to know His Son in fullness as He originally intended! 2. Others may have received some sort of fulfilment or request to prayers, but remember that satan is also a great counterfeit!

Thus, we could ask the question, “What does the name of “IESOUS” – “JESUS” really mean, and why was it changed from Yahushua?”

In Greek as it is in the Hebrew, names always have a precise meaning and nothing is there without a reason. We know that the prophets were given very specific names and when we study them we discover that they were indeed chosen men for their times. Here are just a few examples: Yirmyahu - Jeremiah means “Appointed of Yah.” Zecharyah – Zechariah = “Yah protects.” Yeshayahu – Isaiah = “Salvation of Yah.”

Now, let me begin with the name “IESOUS.”

1. The Greek “IE” or “JE” has the sound of “Yeh,” which is what is known as a “hail.” As we know, this is certainly not in any way related to the blessed Memorial Name - “Yah,” for it was deliberately changed.

An interesting note, according the Dictionary of Christian Lore and Legend by J. C. J. Melford, page 126 it states that in the “Latin the word ‘JESU’ has been traced to an Hebrew word meaning a ‘curse be upon.’”

2. This leaves us with the “SOUS” or “SUS” part of the name. This also has a very distinct meaning and this is the part that needs further investigation. We should be well aware that there are many other Greek names of individuals, cities, places and countless deities that have either all or part of this “Seus” or “Sus” name, and the reality is that this name is actually the name of the Greek god “ZEUS.” I am well aware that this will be a shock for each time you pray “JeSus” what you unknowingly have said is … “Hail Zeus!” Remember satan is the great deceiver and he entered the early church and used men like Constantine and the Nicene council and the church hierarchy to destroy all that was good amongst the faithful followers of Messiah and the apostles, and they were slowly murdered by them and the church!

Examples of the Greek names are the Greek hero of the Trojan War “Odysseus” and the Greek deity “Ieuseus” being a variant spelling of the Latin “IESUS.” There is the sacred mountain in Greece Parnassus, and the god of wine and the son of Zeus “Dionysus.” Other Greek words such as “Tarsus” mean the “sweat of Zeus” and then there is Pegasus and Ephesus, and the list goes on!

Thus tragically our Lord and Saviour has been called by the name of “JeSeus” – “hail to Zeus” over the centuries by those who were totally unaware of its actual meaning and thus will not be found guilty of its use, unless you continue to use it after reading this! This name was attributed to Messiah Yahushua by the new Roman church who was against anything that even remotely appeared to be from a Hebraic origin; especially the keeping of the Seventh Day Sabbath and thus the Mithra (sun) worshipping Emperor Constantine changed that by force under the cloud of punishment of death on March 7, 321 A.D. This was part of his (Blue law) statement:

“On the venerable Day of the Sun let the magistrates and people residing in cities rest, and let all workshops be closed.” (Codex Justinianus 3.12.3, trans. Philip Schaff, History of the Christian Church, 5th ed. (New York, 1902).

The Roman Papacy officially confirmed the Sunday law for The Council of Laodicea (governed over by Constantine) in 364 A.D. decreed,

“Christians shall not Judaize and be idle on Saturday but shall work on that day; but the Lord’s day they shall especially honour, and, as being Christians, shall, if possible, do no work on that day. If, however, they are found Judaizing, they shall be shut out from Christ.” (Strand, op. cit., citing Charles J. Hefele, A History of the Councils of the Church, 2 (Edinburgh, 1876) 316).

This new Roman pagan based church was not part of the apostolic Ecclesia that had been in existence since the time of Messiah Yahushua and had continued for hundreds of years.

“And she will bring forth a Son, and you shall call His Name Yahushua, for He will save his people from their sins” Mattityahu (Matthew) 1:21.

Yes, our Saviours name is - “Yahushua,” and his name contains the blessed Name of His Father, “Yah,” whereas “ushua” means “save” or “salvation.” Thus, the name of Yahushua means, "YaHVaH (the eternal existing One) Saves.” The blessed Name of Yahushua is correctly pronounced … “Yah’hoe’Shoe’a.” One may say there is nothing wrong about the Name of Jesus as it is the Anglicised version of Yahushua. However, I make the point that all those who personally knew the Messiah and spoke with Him, called Him, - “Yahushua.” You might say, “but the New Testament is in Greek, and there it was written differently.” Well there is clear proof that the Gospels were first written in Hebrew and later translated into Greek. And it was due to Greek not having a “Y” in its alphabet, it was therefore was written as “Iesou” or “Isous.” HOWEVER, how do we explain the next issue?

Joshua and our Lord had the same name!

At this point I wish to point out, that there was ANOTHER man of Elohim (and several others) in the Word and his name was also “Yahushua.” This man’s name was also written as “IESOU” in the Greek. But, how was his name translated when it came to the English in the Word? There you will find it much closer to the original Hebrew, “Joshua.” Thus the question arises. “Why was the name of our Saviour not written as Joshua in the Word, and why was it so it so dramatically changed that it no longer resembled anything like His real name?” The adversary (HaSatan) obviously did a very good job at using Rome and the many so-called intellectual scholars to hide the TRUTH for now satan had this pagan inspired church, worshipping on the venerable day of the sun and praying, concluding with a hail to zeus, what a massive victory for the evil one, who had in reality already been defeated at Golgotha, but he is still working to get as many as possible astray and into the grave “for the wages of sin is death!”

Messiah or Christ?

It is also important to look at the best-known title of Yahushua, the “Christ.” You may have well noticed that this word Christ is never used in my teachings, be it behind the pulpit, or in writing. There are multiple good reasons for this.

“He (Yahushua) is Kurios of kurioon and Basileus of basileoon - He is Lord of lords and King of kings.” Revelations 17:14.

Considering this verse, why then, when we speak about Yahushua, we use the term “Lord” and not “Ku’ri’os,” … or “King” rather than “Bas’il’yeas”? You might say, well Reuben that is Greek, and beloved you are quite right! Thus, I will then ask the question, “why then use the Greek word Christ (from Christos) rather than its translation, Messiah”? We call Yahushua “Lord” and “King,” thus we should then clearly make clear to the world that He is our “Messiah” or the “Anointed” for that is what the Greek word, as does “Mashiach” in the equivalent Hebrew means.

Please remember terms are titles, or attributes of our precious Messiah Yahushua, and we should translate them into our language for full understanding. However, names should never be altered or changed, and we should use the wonderful name YaHVaH Elohim gave Messiah, and Yahushua is Messiah’s actual Name, although I do not mind the shortened version Yeshua.

Another reason I do not wish to use the title Christ, or Christian, is due to the millions of Jewish lives and so many other believers who were known as the “protestors” that have been slaughtered in the Name of Christ by “so-called christians” during the past two thousand years. Within Jewish circles, the word “Christ” and “christian” is associated with “death,” and the “murder” of Jews throughout Europe. Jewish people know that Hitler was “a Christian,” well he was a Roman Catholic, yet he, and his mostly Catholic and Lutheran followers were responsible for the death of some 40 million people, including 6 million Jews during World War II.

In today’s climate to say that you are a christian” has little meaning. We the faithful believers and followers in Messiah Yahushua understand the difference and we often use more meaningful statements. Rather saying that you are a christian, it would be better to define your faith in the Messiah Yahushua, for we know that the word Christian has lost its meaning in the world, especially in these “the latter days.”

Recently whilst speaking with a man, he told me that he was a christian, however within minutes he commenced to tell me of his belief in Krishna and reincarnation. You need to know, Hindus, Buddhists, and even Muslims speak of “God” and “Jesus,” but this does not make them a believer and a follower of the Lord Yahushua the Messiah. No way! This does not mean they know Him who is YaHVaH Elohim, Elohim the Creator, and sustainer of life.

Thus, we as faithful believers in the Word of YHVH Elohim must stand apart from the world, as Messiah Yahushua has asked of us. We should return to the ways of old, and start calling YaHVaH Elohim and Yahushua by their Scriptural names and titles. As one chorus goes, “There is power in the Name.” How true this is. Therefore, let us return to using “the name above every name.” A Name greater than any - YaHVaH Elohim, and Yahushua the Messiah.

Blessed be the Holy Name of YaHVaH Elohim, the Almighty, the Creator of heaven and earth. Blessed be the wonderful Name of Yahushua the Messiah, who died for us and rose again after three days and three nights, HalleluYah!

Thank You precious Yahushua, that all who believe in You and repented of their sins shall not perish but have everlasting life!

“Brothers, we do not want you to be ignorant about those who fall asleep, or to grieve like the rest of men, who have no hope. We believe that Yahushua died and rose again and so we believe that Elohim will bring with Yahushua those who have fallen asleep in him” 1 Thess 4:13-14.

In conclusion.

Beloved, this message, and it contents was given to me by YaHVaH Elohim, for me to share with the “Churches,” for He desires those who have come to know Him though the Word to “RETURN AGAIN TO ME” and once again call Him by His rightful Name! We must be aware Yahushua will come in this “LeDor Acharon” - the “Last generation” (Tehillim - Psalm 102:18) for the people of Israel has been in part restored to Zion and this is but the beginning of the prophecy. Therefore we have a big task ahead of us to proclaim the Word to a lost and sinful world, to the Church, Jew and Gentiles alike, in order that many will be blessed and join the faithful in Messiah that we will be ready at the time when we shall be meet Yahushua at the sound of the “trump” - “in the air.”

“For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trump of Elohim. And the dead in Messiah will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord. Therefore comfort one another with these words" Thessalonians 4:16-18.

Please Lord, give us the desire to go and share the Word NOW, in order that many will be counted worthy, for soon we pray that He will come. When will He will come and what year? I do not know, unlike the false prophets in this world. Beloved, please treat it as if it is going to happen this year on the Feast of the blowing of the Shofar (Trump), then you will be surely ready when He comes. But, I pray that you will faithfully have “declared to them His Name.” The Name of YaHVaH Elohim and that our Messiah, Yahushua and be assured you will be richly blessed!
