Please Note: On this site we prefer to use the actual Name of
our loving Heavenly Father as it was written in the Hebrew and thus you will
note that we will use the four letter “Memorial Name” of
- YHVH,
which is pronounced as YaHVaH or YaHWaH, also we will use our Heavenly
Father’s tile - “Elohim” rather than “God” and we
need to remember that “Elohim” (God) is NOT a name but an
attribute, a title! In addition we also love to use the actual Name of our
beloved “Messiah” (written in Hebrew as “Mashiach” and
in Greek as “

“Shema Yisroel – Hear O Israel”
This is
Moshe’s -
This is one of the most important items
online, for it reveals the true nature of the Almighty, the Elohim, (God) of
Avraham, Yitzchak and
Moshe’s great declaration to the
Children of Israel regarding the One True YHVH Elohim (the LORD God) is both
simple and profound! For his declaration is found in the myrbd rps Book of Deuteronomy in Chapter 6:4 as follows:

“
“Hear O Israel, the LORD our God, the Lord is One”
The emphasis of the declaration is based on the Divine revelation that
the Eternal Elohim (God) is dha – “Echad.”
Now the object is to understand the fullness of the meaning of this
word dha – “Echad,” thus we should
examine it carefully how, and in what sense Moshe uses it in other parts of the
Word. It is thus best for us to start at the “In the beginning” the
Book of tvarb – Genesis, which will give us a number
of examples of this word dha – “Echad.”
The word dha –
“Echad” is used by Moshe some eighteen times in Bereshis -
Genesis and this is a matter of great importance! I will give the
order as they appear and will appeal to all who read this to examine each verse
in its proper context and discover the full meaning of the word Echad.

Please
Note: The following quotations are all from the “Holy Scriptures”
by the Jewish Publication Society of
First occurrence: Genesis Chapter 1:5.
“And there was evening and there was morning, One (Echad) day.”
As we carefully look at this verse we will understand that obviously
evening is morning and morning is not evening, they are very different and at
two distinct different time slots of the day. They are clearly distinguished
the one from other, yet evening and morning associated together make ~Ay
“Yom” - “day” and yet that day is dha –
“Echad.” The use of the word Echad in this passage evidently
indicates the essential “oneness” or unity of the two clearly
distinguished features being evening and morning!

Second occurrence: Genesis Chapter 1:9.

“And God said, ‘Let the waters under the heaven
be gathered together unto One (Echad) place’”
We need to consider the following points: The Name of God as in other
places including Genesis Chapter1:1 is in the plural. I know that there could
be an argument on this point that the plurality there is related to the
“plural of majesty,” but this humanly conceived theory collapses
under the test of the holy Scriptures themselves.
The “waters” are in the dual, as are the
“heavens.” Here we find the waters plural because in the verse we
read: “And the gathering together of the waters called He
seas.”

It is quite obvious to us all that a man is not a woman and a woman is
not a man, yet in the reckoning of the Almighty God, when marriage occurs
between a man and a woman, the two become truly dha –
“Echad.”
Here again the word dha – “Echad”
does not sanction the idea of unity in absolute singularity but rather the idea
of absolute unity in plurality!

This use of the word One - dha –

“people” is in the singular!

We have already looked at the first occurrence that a day is One - dha –
“Echad” made up of “evening and there was morning, One day.”
In the passage above, if you will read it further, you will find that
there is a question in Rebekah’s mind, that
there is an awful possibility of two separate bereavements becoming One - dha – “Echad.”

The word is again used to imply that many individuals can become a
UNITY of individuals. However, the One - dha –
“Echad” does not mean that the many individuals become the single
individual, possessing but one head, one body, two eyes, etc.
Nevertheless the word does imply a UNITY, a oneness, of such character
as to tantamount to the many heads thinking as if by one head, the many bodies
acting as if but one body, the many eyes discerning as if but two eyes.

The verse makes it clear that the night was a single night. Therefore
it appears that, One - dha –
“Echad” in this verse is also used to represent a unity in
singularity, yet the thought is embodied in the expression of the two clearly
distinguished dreams into the unity of one night.

that many are really a UNITY in origin!

This concludes the eighteen uses of the word Echad in Bereshis, Genesis
and we will continue with our observations regarding this important word!
Thus what do we make of all this? First we will come to realise that
after an examination of the book of Bereshis (Genesis) it will reveal that the
above eighteen quotations contain the only uses of the word dha –
“Echad” in that book! I have purposely placed the quotations in the
order as they appear in the Word and each time its meaning became more and more
clear. An ?impartial examination will reveal that the
word dha is to denote UNITY, the kind of unity
denoted by the word is far more frequently a unity of plurality that a unity of
singularity. The major stress if its use gives a clear idea of uniplurality, whilst the idea of absolute inseparable
singularity is disassociated from the word almost entirely.
To those who revere the Torah (the first five books of the Old Testament)
and the Word of God as the sole written Divine revelation to man, it is
unnecessary to add that it is not permissible to entertain or retain a
conception of the word dha which lacks the endorsement
of the Word of God!
Thus using only Scriptural conception of the word dha as a torch of
illumination wherewith to examine
For example:

WnsyWS our horses
Thus we should ask: What then, of the REAL meaning of Moshe’s meaning
of the great declaration regarding the Eternal One?
The plurality of the Noun (quite distinctly from the plurality of the
pronominal suffix) and the Scriptural light upon the meaning of the word dha –
“Echad” combine to condemn any conception of unity that excludes a uniplurality. The great declaration is that there is only
One God, but that there is a clear uniplurality in
that one Godhead which, for instance, could not be expressed by the word dyxiêy"\ Yachid. The word
dyxiêy"\ - Yachid denotes
absolute singularity and appears in

You may ask on what basis I make this claim? The famous Jewish Sage
Rabbi Moses Maimon (
The aforementioned proclamation of faith written by Maimonides, which
is recited by orthodox Jews daily claims that God is a Unity – Yachid,
whereas the blessed Scripture clearly states that He is “Dx'(a –
Echad” – One, which has as we have already studied a very different
meaning in the Book of Genesis on 18 separate occasions!
Thus
it was Rambam who stated that “The Creator is an absolute Unity” or Yachid. YHVH, the
Almighty Himself through Moshe said that He is a compound Unity using the term dha –
“Echad”. Which Moshe will you believe? The one sent by God or the
one spouting the teachings of the “Mishna Torah,”
Beloved, I am writing this study as a letter of love. The love of YHVH
Elohim, the LORD God can only be perceived and the person of Yahushua can only
be KNOWN through the Spirit of Truth.
“Wherefore I give you to understand, that no man speaking by the
Spirit of God calls Yahushua accursed, and that no man can say that Yahushua,
is the Lord, but by the Ruach HaKodesh, the Holy Spirit, (The Spirit of Truth)” 1
Corinthians 12:3.
That is what I am trying with all diligence to communicate, about the
great peril, to which some may have come to think about the truth of the
statement of the
“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word
was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by Him; and without Him was not any thing made that
was made.”
What I believe is summarised in 4 simple foundational principles upon
which my understanding of the doctrine of Messiah stands:
1) YHVH (the LORD) is the One true Elohim. God
is God. This simple statement is really quite profound. As I have detailed in
the article “
2) YHVH cannot lie. For our God cannot do is lie. HaSatan is the liar.
3) YHVH does not change. And indeed Yahushua is the same yesterday,
today, and forever.
4) If YHVH said it will happen, it will happen exactly as He said,
because of WHO it is that said it. It makes no
difference if I agree or not. It makes no difference if I like it or not. It
makes no difference if my theology agrees or not. It will happen!

Conclusion
Now we understand what “Echad” really means, I would like
to conclude with the flowing: I came to believe in Messiah Yahushua, as an
orthodox Jew whilst I was all alone in my study one evening during my
Ma’ariv prayers at home and believe this, it was the Almighty of Israel
who gave me the revelation about His Messiah and not some Christian trying to
convert me! That night as I came to know about HaMashiach from the Torah and
the Tanach, I believed and repented and then I was filled with the Spirit of

I pray that should any of my Hebrew brethren have read this article
that they may come to “Know, Believe and Understand that I Am He”
that Yahushua is indeed our promised Messiah and that in faith and repentance
He will open up the way for Ruach HaKodesh (the Holy Spirit), to dwell within
you. Isaiah said,
He was oppressed and afflicted, yet He did not open his mouth; He was
led like a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is silent,

Just for interest, the almighty used Daniel Chapter 9, which so clearly
spoke of the rebuilding of the Second Temple unto the Messiah and that He would
be “cut off (put to death), but not for Himself.” Verses 25-26.
On that night the Elohim of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob touched my heart
of stone, which after so many years hating this Christian Jesus and the
murderous Christians who have killed our people over centuries, yet it gave way
to a heart of passionate devotion to God, a heart of flesh and now I have come
to know Him far more closely that I have ever been able than I did in Shul (the
Synagogue). He desires that you too would come to know Him this way. Today I
know that true believers in Messiah never had a part in

and I will put My Spirit into you.” Ezekiel 36:26-27.

they were all written by Jews, who believed in
