The Tabernacle

---Sharing our Lord and Saviour Yahushua, Yeshua the Messiah to the World!

Please Note: On this site we prefer to use the actual Name of our loving Heavenly Father as it was written in the Hebrew and thus you will note that we will use the four letter “Memorial Name” of   - YHVH, which is pronounced as YaHVaH or YaHWaH, also we will use our Heavenly Father’s title - Elohim rather than “God” and we need to remember that “Elohim” (God) is NOT a name but an attribute, a title! In addition we also love to use the actual Name of our beloved Messiah (written in Hebrew as “Mashiach” and in Greek as “Christos”), which is  - Yahushua (Yeshua in short) for this is the Messiah’s original Hebrew Name as given to Him in Luke 1:31. This was the only Name ever used when He was on the earth by His disciples and His followers for hundreds of years thereafter. However it was changed to a foreign name by the new church, which later became known as “the greater Roman catholic church.” Occasionally, we may also use other Hebrew or Greek names and words in our studies, but these will be translated when they are used, either the first time in a study or at various times as needed for clarity. For an explanation of YHVH’s most Holy and blessed “Memorial Name” and the wonderful Name of our Messiah: Please read The Memorial Name.

The three levels of learning & understanding of the blessed Word of YHVH Elohim (the Lord God):

When we read and study the blessed Scriptures, the Word of YHVH Elohim as a believer in Yahushua the Messiah, we should keep following three steps in always mind for they are a valuable guide and it will certainly provide us with guidance and illuminate the sheer beauty and the fullness of YHVH’s most blessed Word.

1. Who was YHVH Elohim, blessed be His Holy Name speaking to?

2. When was it said?

3. How was His Word understood at the time it was spoken/given?

I do believe that these three points are most relevant to our understanding of 1. What the Almighty is saying at the time - 2. As well as what it means to us today - and 3.  Indeed to you and me right now!

I pray that these studies on the Feasts of YHVH will be a blessing to you and that they will provide you with “a helmet, armour and the shield of YHVH Elohim (the LORD God)” and that we are made ready to share His Word with those who are need of Salvation and His love, which can only come through faith in our Heavenly Father and His Anointed one, Yahushua the Messiah, or as many throughout the world say it “Yeshua.”

Shalom - Peace be with you, in Yahushua THE Messiah!

“Scriptural Truths” & “Ha Davar Word Studies”

Introduction.

The faithful in Yahushua (Yeshua) the Messiah, understand that the Tabernacle contains many spiritual pictures of our beloved Saviour. However, the Tabernacle also contains much detail that relates to the faithful, the Body.

Over the years, I have often shared a message related to the Tabernacle, entitled, “Master Where do You Live” and I hope to do so again in the near future, as I love to share that study, as it contains a treasury of teaching relating to our personal relationship with our Lord and Saviour.

However, in this study, we will look at three very special components of the Tabernacle, these being, 1. The Outer Court. 2. The Tent of the Congregation or Meeting, and 3. The Holy of Holies.

For interest sake, in Hebrew the “Tent of the Congregation” is Ochel Mo’ed which is more correctly translated as, the “Tent of Appointments.”

Let us now turn to the first word “labour” found in Tehillim (Psalm) 127:1.

“Except YHVH build the house, they labour in vain that built it” Verse 1.

In Hebrew the word for “labour” in this Scripture is “Amal” and I will cover what this word really means. In addition I will also cover two other words that relate to a “work” in the Lord and again they have a very close relationship to the Tabernacle!

But let us start with the word “Amal” – “Labour” as found in Tehillim (Psalm) 127:1.

The full meaning of the word “Amal” means a work in the flesh, or a labour of weariness, full of trouble, it even means a work most miserable and perverse. Thus it is a labour full of grievance and shame, due to the sin nature of self. Therefore, “Amal” is a work, or a labour, in the natural and in the flesh.

The analogy to the Tabernacle is that “Amal,” is just a work located in the “Outer Court of the Tabernacle” a court that is available to all people regardless of their spiritual nature.

Let us now look at the second word that relates to a work in the Lord, which can be found for example in Yirmyahu (Jeremiah) 10:3.

“For the customs of the peoples are futile; for one cuts a tree from the forest, the work (Ma'a'seh) of the hands of the workman, with the axe.”

The word “Ma’a’seh” means “a good work,” however it is still considered as being a work that is accomplished by our own hands, even though this may be a work done for the express purpose to please YHVH Elohim, and done with a good heart. However, whenever the word “Ma’a’seh” is used for man, it is generally means it being a work performed in one's own strength. Ma’a’seh” is likened to a work in the “Ochel,” being the “Tent of the Appointments” thus, a work in the natural. However, this work is certainly one step closer to a godly work!

Ever since I have been in ministry 1978, sadly far too many works, or ministries seem to operate in the “Ma’a’seh.” They can produce results, but it will always remain a work of the self - Ma’a’seh.” Of course many ministries strive to do that which is right in the Almighty, but end up with a work of their own hands. They tend to have lengthy board meetings, praying, planning and deciding in which direction, their ministry should go, and how best to raise funds to achieve their objective. I call them “The Elohim (God) organisers.”

Beloved, if YHVH Elohim (the LORD God) blessed be His Holy Name, calls an individual, a group of believers or a Fellowship into His service, be assured that He will provide all the guidance needed and He will provide all the required provisions!

I recall one day when there was an urgent financial need; Thus I took this to YHVH Elohim in prayer in the blessed Name of Yahushua, knowing that He is “YHVH Yireh,” our “provider.” Several days later, a letter arrived from a dear lady in North Queensland containing a cheque with the exact amount that I had been quoted. The Almighty had touched this saint and she in love obeyed the call. The letter said,

“Dear Brothers in Lord. You do not know me, but I attended several meetings when you were in Cairns last year. I thank the Lord daily for your ministry, as it has greatly touched my life. The teaching you shared has given me a deeper insight of the Word, which in turn has given me the strength and understanding on how to pray and share the Lord with my dear ones.

Three weeks ago, my dear son Jason accepted, repented and returned to God in the name of Yeshua, and last night, praise the Name of the Lord, my husband also accepted the messiah during the evening meeting!

Dear brother, whilst in prayer this morning in thanking and praising the LORD our Elohim for all that He has done in our lives, He led me to give you this gift. I know that it will be used to His glory.”

Now, let me ask you, “Who is in charge of a work in His service, men or YHVH Elohim, the Almighty?”

I now wish to cover the third word relating to “labour” or “work.”

This word speaks of a work in Elohim (God) that produces miracles and it is a work that glorifies YHVH our Elohim and His only begotten Son Yahushua. It is a work empowered by the Ruach HaKodesh, the Holy Spirit!

This work is called a labour or a work in the “Yad.”

This work is unique in YHVH, as it is a “labour with POWER.” For the “Yad” - “Hand,” of YHVH Elohim is in it! This beloved, is a work in the “Mishchan,” thus a work in the “Holy of Holies.” This is where all believers should be spiritually employed, for the veil, thank You Yahushua, has been torn and we, being cleansed from all our sins and sanctified, may enter therein!

In Tehillim (Psalm) 127 YHVH Elohim, blessed be His Holy Name, first speaks of labour, then YHVH in part two of verse 1 continues to say,

“Unless YHVH watches over the city, the watchman stands in guard in vain.”

We, the faithful in Messiah Yahushua are called to stand and to work with Elohim. For we can achieve nothing on our own. Let us cover a few further verses of Tehillim (Psalm) 127.

Verse 2. “It is vain for you to rise up early, to sit up late to eat the bread of sorrows

Verse 2 speaks of “the bread of sorrows” “LeChem Ha A'tza'vim.”

This is the reward for labour in the flesh, the natural, as it can only provide the bread of toil, grief and sorrow.

Verse 3. “Lo, children are a heritage of YHVH: and the fruit of the womb is his reward”

“Children” as the Word states “are a heritage.” The Hebrew for “children” is “Banim” which literally means “sons.” Thus sons are a gift from YHVH, blessed be He. Part 2 of this verse speaks of “the fruit” which in Hebrew is “Pri.” In addition to children it is “the fruit of the womb.”

The Word of Elohim says, “You shall know them by their fruits” Mattityahu (Matthew) 7:16.

Believers can easily recognise those with good “fruits,” just look at their teachings and their good work.

1… Is it a labour in the “Amal,” a work of the flesh?

2… A work in the “Ma‘a’seh” a physical Elohim directed work?

3... Is it a work in the “Yad,” which produces “fruits,” with many lives saved, which is pleasing to YHVH!

A work in the “Yad” is a work that has been called by YHVH and is led by His Ruach HaKodesh, the Holy Spirit, thus it is a spiritual work led by His “hand –Yad.” This beloved is where we all should be, ministering, teaching, working, guided by the Holy Spirit of YHVH, who will lead us to be at the right place at the right time. A work in the “Mishchan” the “Holy of Holies” has no need to beg for funds, for if the ministry has been called by the Almighty, He will open the doors and provide the means.

Forgive me for my frankness, but, sadly there are far too many ministries that tend to work in the Ma’a’seh.” Some of these may be a good works, but they are not led by the Holy Spirit. No wonder we see the continual begging on our TV screens and/or the volumes of “News” or what I tend to call the “Beg Letters.” Yes we should tithe for that is in the Word and we all have an obligation! In addition, we should look after those who minister in our homes and they should not be staying in five star hotels, for that is not Scriptural. To be truthful, I do not believe in paid Church ministers, for that is part of the Ma’a’seh  ideology and not scriptural. The tithing should take care of his needs, and we should not be wasting money on building large churches for that is a waste!

I have been asked many times, “How can we know that a ministry is truly from Elohim and is led by the Holy Spirit?”

Firstly, we should pray to the Almighty in the wonderful Name of Yahushua and seek for that blessed gift of “Discernment.” It is a gift that many simply do not have these days, as they are too involved with modern living!

However, there is one feature in some ministries that can reveal if the work is of the self, or as described in the Word in the “Ma’a’seh.” There are many Ministry names that features the name of the person that is the leader/head the work and you will find these works will usually be either “a work in the self” - “Ma’a’seh,” but most are based in the “Amal,” which is just “a work of the flesh.” And I count some of the American TV Evangelists among these, especially works such as the well known “Benny Hinn credit card Ministries”!

Thus, a physical work, but can still be a work that is directed to Elohim, but it is certainly not a work in the “Yad,” which is pleasing to YHVH. There are even some of these ministries that could be better described as a work in the “Amal,” a labour in vain! Pray and consider what is being said here and pray about it and you will get the answer from the Almighty Himself! Ministries of the self are some of those in the Ma’a’seh” and all that are in the “Amal.”

I firmly believe that not any ministry should be named after their leading or founding person, for it places the attention and focus on that person, and it takes away the focus from our precious Lord Yahushua, the Messiah. Thus their pastor and their ministries come before the Lord, regardless if they teach about Lord, or not, and when they do, like Benny Hinn, they will teach any hideous false teachings, such as when he taught that there are 3 different trinities, etc. In addition their teaching features a total lack of repentance and the abundance of prosperity doctrine. Only recently I heard the Lords prayer used as an example why we should be prosperous, “Thy Kingdom Come” and we were told that we “in the Lord have the available to us right Kingdom now, thus we can claim all the Kingdom’s riches.” However, no mention was made of “Give us this day our DAILY Bread.” Like the mamma in the wilderness, enough for today and then YHVH will provide enough for tomorrow, blessed be He! Read, and read again Mattityahu (Matthew) chapter 7 and pray about these preachers who can lead so many into falsehood and even enter the Great Tribulation and then fall under the lies of the beast!

I believe that a true ministry of Elohim MUST be directed by Him in every sense of His Word!

After much prayer and fasting back in January 1978, the author was given a ministry name “The RETURN Movement International” and this Scriptural name has a great and valuable meaning in Lords plan in relation to bringing people back to Him and into repentance!

The word RETURN in Hebrew is “Shuv” or “Teshuvah” which means to “return,” “repent,” or to “turn back” and to “be made whole again.” RETURN is in red, because we are cleansed from our sins through the shed blood of the Blood of the Lamb of Elohim, Yahushua the Messiah! Movement is in italics for the ministry is an ongoing movement, until Messiah returns, and obviously we are an International ministry.

Back to Tehillim (Psalm) 127 and the word “Fruit.”

Beloved, let our call in Him be full of “Fruit” bringing in many new sons and daughters. Blessed are the fruitful in Elohim!

Verses 4 & 5. “As arrows are in the hand of a mighty man; so are children of the youth. Happy is the man that hath his quiver full of them: they shall not be ashamed, but they shall speak with the enemies in the gate.”

As verse 4 states, sons, and fruits are like sharp “arrows” in a time of need. They will be prayerful helpers and supporters in every way the Almighty may call.

As we work with Elohim being led by the Holy Spirit, we have this promise, that Elohim will grant us … Ephesians 3: 16 to 18.

“ … according to the riches of His (Elohim’s) Glory, to be STRENGTHENED with might by His Spirit in the inner man, that the Messiah may dwell in your hearts by faith, that you being ROOTED and GROUNDED in LOVE that ye might be filled with the FULLNESS of Elohim”

Let us “Go” and share the Word of Elohim, and do a work with power, YHVH directs us, in order that many sinners may find the same comfort that we have in the Word of Elohim. Now that is real prosperity doctrine, the riches of His (Elohim’s) Glory t do a work with power!

“But of the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that I write unto you. For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night.” 1 Thessalonians 5: 1 - 11.

For when they shall say peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child. BUT YE BRETHREN, are NOT IN DARKNESS, that, that day should overtake you as a thief ... But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love, and for a helmet, the hope of salvation. For Elohim hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Yahushua the Messiah, Who died for us, that whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with HIM. Wherefore COMFORT yourselves together, and edify one another, even as also ye do!”

Praise YHVH, we “are not in darkness” for we live in the light, comforting one another with the Gospel, the Good News of Yahushua the Messiah! We are called out to work, guided by the Holy Spirit, a work guided by the Hand, the “Yad” of Elohim in the very heart of the “Mishchan,” the “Holy of Holies!” Bless you, the faithful in Messiah Yahushua, as you heed to the message found in the Tabernacle.

Beloved, in which of the three Courts will you serve the Almighty and His Son, our Lord and Saviour? I pray it will be in the “Mishchan!”

“Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labour in the Lord is not in vain.” 1 Corinthians 15:58.

“For Elohim hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Yahushua the Messiah, Who died for us, that whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with HIM. Wherefore COMFORT yourselves together, and edify one another, even as also ye do!” Ephesians 6:10-24.

Praise YHVH, we “are not in darkness” for we live in the light, comforting one another with the Gospel, the Good News of Yahushua the Messiah!

We are called out to work, guided by the Holy Spirit, a work guided by the Hand, the “Yad” of Elohim in the very heart of the “Mishchan,” the “Holy of Holies!”

Bless the faithful in Messiah Yahushua, as we heed to the message found in the Tabernacle.

Beloved, in which of the three Courts will you serve the Almighty and His only begotten Son, our Lord and Saviour? I pray it will be in the “Mishchan!”

“Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labour in the Lord is not in vain.” 1 Corinthians 15:58.

“Finally, my brethren, be strong in Elohim and in the power of His might. Put on the whole armour of Elohim that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armour of Elohim that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of Elohim; praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints and for me, that utterance may be given to me, that I may open my mouth boldly to make known the mystery of the gospel, for which I am an ambassador in chains; that in it I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak. But that you also may know my affairs and how I am doing, Tychicus, a beloved brother and faithful minister in the Lord, will make all things known to you; whom I have sent to you for this very purpose, that you may know our affairs, and that he may comfort your hearts. Peace to the brethren, and love with faith, from Elohim the Father and the Lord Yahushua the Messiah. Grace be with all those who love our Lord Yahushua the Messiah in sincerity. Amen.” Ephesians 6:10-24.

Shalom in Messiah  - Yahushua.

May YHVH Elohim bless and keep you in the palm of His hand always, in Messiah Yahushua’s loving Name!

Yahushua said; “No one can come to Me unless the Father who sent Me draws him, and I will raise him up at the last day. It is written in the Prophets: They will all be taught by Elohim. Everyone who listens to the Father and learns from Him comes to Me. No one has seen the Father except the One who is from Elohim; only He has seen the Father. I tell you the truth he who believes has everlasting life.” Yochannan (John) 6:43-48.
