as YaHVaH or YaHWaH, also we
will use our Heavenly Father’s title - “Elohim” rather
than “God” and we need to remember that “Elohim” (God)
is NOT a name but an attribute, a title! In addition we also love to use the
actual Name of our beloved “Messiah” (written in Hebrew as
“Mashiach” and in Greek as “

is the Messiah’s original Hebrew Name as given to Him in

2. When was it said?
3. How was His Word understood at the time it was spoken/given?
I do believe that these three points are most
relevant to our understanding of 1. What the Almighty is saying at the time -
2. As well as what it means to us today - and 3. Indeed to you and me right now!
Shalom - Peace be with you, in Yahushua THE Messiah!

What to do when we see someone drowning or in trouble?
Just as we must save a drowning man or woman,
in the same manner should we save someone who has cut him or herself off from
the Almighty and our Lord and Saviour Yahushua (Yeshua), in fact the Word of Elohim
(God) clearly states:
“Do not stand still when your
neighbour’s life is in danger.” Vayikra - Leviticus 19:16.
In the natural it stands to reason that
whenever you see someone drowning in a river, or facing other dangers, it is
obviously a good deed as a person, but especially in the Lord to do something
to save a precious life. In such cases we would certainly not sit still, for we
should act very quickly indeed! However, if you yourself were not to jump in
and save that person personally, it is your absolute responsibility to quickly
call for someone who is able to do so in your place and rescue that person! But
if you do nothing, you will be breaking the Commandments of YHVH Elohim (the
LORD God), blessed be His Sanctified Name, such as the one I have just quoted,
as well as those as given by Yahushua our beloved Messiah.
“What man of you, having a hundred
sheep, if he loses one of them, does not leave the ninety-nine in the
wilderness, and go after the one which is lost until he finds it? And when he
has found it, he lays it on his shoulders, rejoicing. And when he comes home,
he calls together his friends and neighbours, saying to them, ‘Rejoice
with me, for I have found my sheep which was lost!’ I say to you that
likewise there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over
ninety-nine just persons who need no repentance.”
“He (Yahushua) said to them, ‘If
any of you has a sheep and it falls into a pit on the Sabbath, will you not
take hold of it and lift it out? How much more valuable is a man than a sheep!
Therefore it is lawful to do good on the *Sabbath.” Mattityahu -
It is obvious that the same holds true when we
see another so distressed to the point he wishes to do himself harm, at such cases
beloved we must prayerfully do everything in our power to stop that person to
do a wrong, for they need to be guided with tender loving care and with mercy
led back into the bosom of our Lord!!
Likewise, when we see so many of our beloved
family, friends, workmates or others who: 1. May have backslidden from their
faith, or 2. Are walking in sin, we must unrelentingly encourage them with the
precious Word of YHVH Elohim and point them to the real Messiah who is of
course Yahushua the Messiah, who shed His precious blood for the remission of
“the sin.” Indeed, we must encourage them to the same faith that
was upheld at the time of the disciples and not that as held in general by the
greater roman church ideology, lest, heaven forbid, they make Elohim angry.
Although YHVH Elohim, blessed be His Holy
Name, is long suffering and patient, we cannot stand by and let the sinner
continue to live in sin, which will only lead to the day, the Almighty, blessed
be He, “must collect His debts”
Thus, if we see someone drowning, we must act
immediately and do something, even if we have to call on another believer in
Yahushua who is a faithful swimmer in Messiah!
We know that many of our family, friends and
neighbour’s are drowning spiritually. Thus we could say; “How can
we help them in their time of crisis?” Beloved, make sure that you know
the truth of the Word first as well as having taken a stand on using the
“Divine Names of the Father and Messiah! GO and SHARE the Word and tell
them who YHVH Elohim has seen in trouble and know that He called on you who is
both fit, and obedient, who without hesitation will jump into the river and
reach out towards the one who is in peril.
Remember beloved, it was Yahushua the blessed
Son and Messiah of YHVH Elohim who was the one who jumped in the river for us,
when we were drowning in sin and we know that he paid the ultimate price. He
gave His life as a sacrifice and shed His blood that we may live and have
everlasting life as we have believed, repented and live according His Word!
There is a wonderful lesson we can learn from
that great friend of Elohim - Avraham (
“Do
not stand still when your neighbour’s life is in danger.”
*Some tend to think and even say that our Lord
and Saviour broke the Sabbath Laws to prove a point and did this on purpose,
when He and His apostles were in the fields and took some of the wheat and ate
it on the Sabbath day. However, the
Torah Law (Five Books of Moses) only has three simple Laws regarding the
Sabbath, which are covered in this Scripture: “On the seventh day there
shall be to you a holy day, a Sabbath of rest to YHVH: whosoever does work
therein shall be put to death. You shall kindle no fire throughout your homes
during the Sabbath day.” Shemos - Exodus 35:2-3. There are other mentions
that include the words, that “No servile work” shall be done.
However, all other laws pertaining to the Sabbath are man made by the =priests
and rabbis and are tradition and do not come from the almighty. These so-called
religious leaders have placed a massive burden upon the people of Israel and
our blessed Messiah spoke out against these laws, as did the apostles,
especially Saul (Paul) of Tarsus, but sadly christians confuse these manmade
laws with the holy Law of YHVH Elohim which was upheld by Yahushua, the
apostles and all the Messianic faithful to this day!
Shalom in Messiah
- Yahushua.
May YHVH Elohim bless and keep you in the palm of His hand always, in
Messiah Yahushua’s loving Name!

Yahushua said; “No one can come to Me unless the Father who sent Me draws him, and I will raise
him up at the last day. It is written in the Prophets: They will all be taught
by Elohim. Everyone who listens to the Father and learns from Him comes to Me. No one has seen the Father except the One who is from
Elohim; only He has seen the Father. I tell you the truth he who believes has
everlasting life.”
